STEP 1: Plant and grow peppers of any variety that you like. This is the time consuming part but it is also one of my favorite parts.
STEP 2 Harvest the peppers. You can do this as needed.
STEP 3: Wash the peppers off. Wash ya hands too!!!
STEP 4: Cut the ends off peppers, remove the seeds and ribs and set aside.
STEP 5: Slice or dice the peppers. I prefer long slices but you can dice them if you want.
STEP 6: Arrange the peppers on a cookie sheet or i used a pizza pan so that the peppers are in a single layer. This will freeze the separately instead of in one big block. So they will be easy to use different amounts in your recipes.
STEP 7: Place the cookie sheet into freezer for about 15 minutes. This time may vary a little.
STEP 8: Remove them from tray and put them in a freezer bag nd back into the freezer until you are ready to use them. If you grow a variety of pepper use can keep each kind in a separate bag
STEP: 9 This is truly one of the most important steps, take the stems and seeds and other trimmings and put them in your compost pile to help start the process all over next year.
I hope you found this information useful and will give it a try, it is super easy and a great way to have yummy peppers for your winter recipes. Please do not forget to follow my blog and check back often @ http://slantytimes.blogspot.com
