Easy Crab Salad or Crab Dip Recipe mmmmmmmm mmmmmmm Goood!!!!
This is a recipe I first tasted at a family gathering and asked about the recipe and was told it was off a bottle of Sting Ray Bloody Mary mix. It is a very easy recipe and tastes unbelievably good. You will need:
1 cup mayonnaise
2 TBSP minced onion
3 TBSP green bell pepper minced
4 TBSP Bloody Mary mixer ( Sting ray Bloody Mary mixer works great!!!)
1/2 TO 1 Pound of crab meat (you can use imitation crab meat and people will still love it)
You mix the first ingredients then fold in the crab meat gently and you can serve over lettuce as a salad or put it in a bowl as a dip. I personally usually make a dip and scoop it with chips but you can put it on crackers or you can just toss it in a bowl and eat it plain. This is a easy recipe you should try at your next function.

9 Easy Steps for Freezing peppers
Here are easy 9 easy steps to freezing peppers from your garden to be used in your recipes all winter long.
STEP 1: Plant and grow peppers of any variety that you like. This is the time consuming part but it is also one of my favorite parts.
STEP 2 Harvest the peppers. You can do this as needed.
STEP 3: Wash the peppers off. Wash ya hands too!!!
STEP 4: Cut the ends off peppers, remove the seeds and ribs and set aside.
STEP 5: Slice or dice the peppers. I prefer long slices but you can dice them if you want.
STEP 6: Arrange the peppers on a cookie sheet or i used a pizza pan so that the peppers are in a single layer. This will freeze the separately instead of in one big block. So they will be easy to use different amounts in your recipes.
STEP 7: Place the cookie sheet into freezer for about 15 minutes. This time may vary a little.
STEP 8: Remove them from tray and put them in a freezer bag nd back into the freezer until you are ready to use them. If you grow a variety of pepper use can keep each kind in a separate bag
STEP: 9 This is truly one of the most important steps, take the stems and seeds and other trimmings and put them in your compost pile to help start the process all over next year.
I hope you found this information useful and will give it a try, it is super easy and a great way to have yummy peppers for your winter recipes. Please do not forget to follow my blog and check back often @ http://slantytimes.blogspot.com

Summer Squash Crab Cakes
Here is a great recipe for turning your summer squash into mock crabcakes. Anyone who grows squash knows that on a good year ya can be over run by squash and need new exciting ways to cook it, well here is one I love and it's cheap and easy too.
Ingredients
2 cups of summer squash
2 Tbsp mayonnaise
2 Tbsp onion
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups of fine bread crumbs or cracker crumbs
1 1/2 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
Start by cutting the skin off of the squash. You may skip this and use the skins if it is new fresh tender baby squash otherwise if the squash has a tougher skin the cakes will not stay together as well. Chop the squash into small inch chunks Cook the squash in boiling water until they are soft usually about 15 minutes. Drain the squash and mash them up. In a large mixing bowl add the squash with the other ingredients. This is one of those jobs better done by hand then by machine. Next take the mixture and make it into patties and fry in a nice hot pan that has a little oil in it. You can adjust the amount of Old Bay Seasoning to your own liking.
This is a fun recipe to add to your menu. I have also rolled the mixture into small balls and then you can deep fry them and they make a great side dish or snack.
